Cherokee descendant, Helen Danser, will share
Native American customs and culture with Harrison Elementary School first and
second-graders on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001 at 1:00 p.m., at Harrison Elementary
School, 161 Bruce Street. Ms. Danser will share different tribal customs and
music and will give each class their own dream catcher and booklet on the
Cherokee tribe. The Native American Awareness activity is part of the
Lexington-Fayette Urban County Human Rights Commission’s Cultural Diversity
Program at Harrison.
