In honor of Black History month, a dance poet will perform at Harrison Elementary school.  As part of the Harrison Elementary Cultural Diversity Program sponsored by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Human Rights Commission, Yolantha Harrison Pace, a dance poet from Danville, will perform at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13 in the school’s gym at 161 Bruce St.

Pace will teach Harrison students one of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s freedom march songs and will do a crowd interactive, “What does freedom mean to you?”  In addition, Pace will perform “The Creation” by James Weldon Johnson, a famous African American poet.
