Race Equality week is an initiative
of the National League of Cities (NLC) to reaffirm the commitment to
eliminating all forms of racism in communities. The purpose of this week is twofold: first, to spotlight the issue of racism and the problems that many are still subjected to; and second, to showcase what cities across the country are doing to promote racial equality.
